Features and Traits

Integrated Armor: Amalthea's construction incorporates wood and metal, granting her a natural armor bonus. While unarmored, her AC is equal to 12 + her dexterity modifier. (13). During a short rest, she can bond a suit of armor she is proficient in, to her body with the use of the appropriate tools (leatherworker for light, smiths for medium or heavy). Once bonded the armor counts as half weight towards encumbrance and she receives an AC of the armor with an additional +1 bonus. Armor may be unbonded during a short rest.

Living Construct: Even though she is a construct, Amalthea is a living creature. She is immune to disease. She does not need to eat nor breathe, but can ingest food and drink if she wishes. Instead of sleeping, she enters a dreamless inactive state for 4 hours each day, and is fully aware of her surroundings and may notice approaching enemies and other events as normal.

Self-Stabilizing: Amalthea has advantage on death saving throws.

Fighting Style - Protection: When equipped with a shield, Amalthea may impose disadvantage on the attack of a creature she can see if they attack a target other than her that is within five feet of her.

Divine Smite: Amalthea may expend Paladin spell slots to deal extra radiant damage to a target. Deal: Weapon damage + 2d8 for the initial 1st level slot + extra 1d8 for each spell level higher than first (5d8 max)

Extra Attack: Amalthea may attack twice instead of once whenever she makes an attack action on her turn.

Aura of Protection: Whenever a friendly creature within 10 feet of Amalthea must make a saving throw, they gain a bonus to their saving throw equal to Amalthea's Charisma modifier.

SACRED OATH - Vengeance

Channel Divinity:

  • Abjure Enemy: As an action Amalthea chooses one creature within 60 feet and denounces them. the creature must make a wisdom check unless it is immune to being frightened. Fiends and undead receive disadvantage. Failure: The creature is frightened for one minute or until damage. Move speed reduced to 0. Cannot gain bonuses to movement. Success: The creature's move speed is halved for one minute or until damage.
  • Vow of Enmity: As a bonus action Amalthea may use Channel Divinity to select a creature within 10 feet. She gains advantage on attack rolls against this creature for 1 minute or until it drops to 0HP/unconscious.

Relentless Avenger: When Amalthea hits a creature with an attack of opportunity, she may move up to half her speed in the same reaction. This does not provoke an attack of opportunity.

Magical Items

Silence Breaker

This looks like a rather ordinary longsword with words etched in elven script upon its blade: 'Listen not to the Silence that listens back'. When Amalthea hits with an attack using this magic sword, the target takes an extra 1d6 thunder damage. In addition, while she holds the sword in her hand she has resistance to lightning damage. In the presence of someone (within 30 feet) attempting to conceal their presence from her through mundane means, the blade emits a low, resonant hum that's audible out to a 10-foot radius. When she draws this weapon she may choose to sense the presence and location of all creatures within 30 feet of her. This property can be used no more than three times per day, and no more than once per hour. Lastly, there is a sense of consciousness and awareness from the sword, but it doesn't speak and gives no indication of how intelligent it might be, or what its intentions are.
